GrapheneOS、Pixel以外のスマホでも公式サポートへ（一部）
プライバシー重視のモバイルOS「GrapheneOS」は、今後Google Pixel以外の端末にも公式サポートを拡大すると公式Redditアカウントで発表した。既存モデルの後継機をベースにした端末で、価格帯はPixelシリーズと同程度になる見込みだ。
公式アカウントによると、初期モデルは最新のSnapdragonフラッグシップSoCを搭載。初の対応は 8 Elite Gen 5 になるという。これにより、Pixelよりも高いCPU・GPU性能を提供しつつ、Wi-Fi・Bluetooth・GPS・モバイル通信などの品質も確保されるという。eSIMや画像処理、AI推論などの機能もSoCに統合されている。
発売対象国については「多くの国で販売予定」とされ、GrapheneOSプリインストール版の可能性もある。 過去にはOnePlusがCyanogenModを搭載した端末を出したことがあり、一部ユーザーからは「GrapheneOSとOnePlusの組み合わせは過去を思い出す」との声もある。
GrapheneOSはこれまでほとんどPixel専用OSとして知られていたが、今後はより幅広い端末での利用が期待される。
GrapheneOSのチームは2025年6月から「主要なAndroid OEM」と連携し開発中であるとのこと。しかしながら、その対応するデバイスはまだ報告されていない。Snapdragon搭載でPixelと同価格帯であるという報告からOnePlusやMotorola、などではないかと私は推測している。
その中でもMotorolaは大手OEM、タブレットを作っていることから、Motorolaである可能性が高いと推測している。
ちなみにXiaomiではないと公式が発表している。

Those are currently the only devices providing the required updates and hardware-based security features. You'll be happy to know we've been partnered with a major Android OEM since June 2025. They're working on meeting our requirements for at least 1 of their next gen devices.

Our OEM partner makes tablets but our initial focus is going to be phones and we at least initially need the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to meet our hardware requirements. Low end devices have inferior security and update support so they're unlikely to meet our requirements any time soon.
